Meet Amy

Amy Kathryn Hess is a National Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) and is licensed in the state of South Carolina to provide clinical counseling services. Amy is passionate about providing counseling services in a non-judgmental way that helps clients with their everyday lives. 

Amy’s clients describe her as compassionate, funny, authentic, relatable, understanding, and innovative. She’s been told she makes counseling enjoyable, while still challenging clients. Her office is a space where people can be exactly who they are. 

She has worked with a variety of diagnoses in the past. Amy now specializes in working with clients on anxiety, depression, grief/loss, perinatal mood disorders, infertility, and parenting/special needs parenting. 

Throughout the process, Amy integrates referrals, coordinates with other providers when needed, and shares resources to provide education. Her treatment approach depends on each client’s needs and background and includes evidence-based techniques. 

Amy graduated from Liberty University with a Master of Education degree and additional clinical coursework, receiving the highest honors possible. 

She is grateful to have the opportunity to walk alongside people through their pain and to help them have more peaceful and joyful lives.
